Synopsis of Meeting of Thursday, January 7, 2010
Present: Jack, Louise, Sue, Donna C., Karen, Brian, Joe, Susie, Jim, Melissa
1. The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. by Brian/Karen.
  There was acceptance of the November 19, 2009 Meeting Minutes.
2.The H@H fair was discussed (name pending).  See notes of Sue Ross.
3. WFP served 153 families in December and 186 in November, so far, the highest month figures and Saturday figures.  There was lots of food that just had to be brought out.  Donations of hams and turkeys were numerous and most generous.
4. There are 5 outstanding cases having to do with light bills.  $10, 418.97 has gone out since the beginning of the season, while $13,300 has been received in the last 6 weeks via the HMLD bills and envelopes.  Another $3500 has come in from St. Francis Church.  Louise believes there will be an increase in requests for Fuel Assistance, since a lot of families will have used up their allotment by this time in the season.
5. Jack is going to have the fundraising sign moved to a more noticeable location.
6. Donna was not able to attend.
7. The next printing of the H@H booklet has been put on hold until after the Fair on March 20, 2010.
8. Jim discussed the Financial report and elaborated on the subject of the H@H/W.A.R.F. separate accounts issue which was discussed earlier in the day at the Council on Aging meeting.  He will present the protocol/tracking process at the next meeting on 2/4/10 in order for the Public to be made aware.
The motion was made and approved to confirm the action of the memo of 12/14/09.
9. Jacquie was unable to attend.  There was no fundraising news available at the meeting, but on Friday, there was word from Davis Hill School that a portion of its Turkey Trot donations will go to H@H.  
9. Rich was unable to attend the meeting.
10. The next meeting will be Thursday, February 4th, at 3 p.m. in the Starbard Building.
11. The meeting was adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
